I have photos of myself as a small child with a camera in my hand. This childhood curiosity evolved into a lifelong fascination with photography, learning and observing the nuances of photographic expression. For the last decade, I have formally transitioned my focus toward photography as a dedicated art form, a journey that has allowed me to travel the world and capture its beauty through a creative lens. I chose photography because it is the perfect intersection of technical precision, creativity and composition. Through the lens, my intentions shift, and I find myself observing the world with a heightened focus, capturing the environmental life unfolding around me. The process of capturing these images is a constant, rewarding challenge. I am drawn to the shifting qualities of light, often seeking out the fleeting moments of early morning or late evening when the rising or setting sun paints the landscape in golden and pink hues. Every location tells a different story; the narrative is rewritten by the season, the weather, and the serendipitous subjects who happen to walk into the frame. Once an image is captured, the journey continues through a high-touch transformation into fine art. I work to determine a unique way to showcase the image such as with gold and fine metal gilding to the image to triptych displaying. I utilize archival-grade printing and framing materials to ensure each piece stands the test of time.
